I’m hosted on Amazon LightSail on AWS, I’m a WordPress site. I currently have the following configurations.
- 1 GB RAM
- 2 vCPUs
- 40 GB SSD
If you want to learn how to create a similar wordpress site, here are some steps, also you can refer to a video I used.
- Choose your instance:
- Sign in to the Lightsail console and click “Create instance.”
- Select your desired region and availability zone.
- Choose “Linux/Unix” as the platform and “WordPress” as the blueprint.
- Configure details:
- Select an instance plan based on your expected traffic and needs.
- Provide a name and tag for your instance for easy identification.
- Optionally, set up a static IP for better accessibility.
- Connect domain and DNS:
- Choose to use an existing Lightsail domain, register a new one, or connect an existing domain.
- Configure DNS settings, either using Lightsail managed DNS or your own provider.
- Launch and secure:
- Review your configuration and launch the instance.
- Access the WordPress admin panel using the provided temporary URL and credentials.
- Change the default admin password for enhanced security.
- Customize and explore:
- Use the WordPress interface to personalize your website’s appearance and content.
- Explore Lightsail’s additional features like backups, scaling, and security groups for further optimization.
